Registration & Credential Evaluation
THE BC ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS IS NOT THE REGULATORY BODY FOR SOCIAL WORKERS IN BRITISH COLUMBIA.
THE BC COLLEGE OF SOCIAL WORKERS (BCCSW) is the regulatory body for the profession. Their mandate is to protect the public by registering social workers who meet the minimum requirements, encouraging high standards of practice and investigating and resolving complaints about the practice of Registered Social Workers. The different yet complementary mandates of the BCASW and BCCSW are explained here. Please contact the BC College of Social Workers for information about evaluating your credentials. BCCSW website.
