Why should a social worker join BCASW?
Membership supports the profession and provides access to advocacy, professional development, affordable liability insurance, mentoring, communications, member programs, and connection with CASW.
What is the regulatory body for social workers in BC?
The BC College of Social Workers is the regulatory body. BCASW is a separate professional member services association.
How does the Mentoring Program work?
Experienced members volunteer to support other members with career questions, professional transitions, ethical reflection, résumé preparation, relocation decisions, and adjustment to practice. Mentoring is an informal peer program and is not clinical supervision or counselling.
Are BCASW webinars available on demand?
BCASW collegial webinars are generally not recorded. CASW provides webinars and may make recordings available to members through its own website.
How do I renew my membership?
Sign in to the BCASW member system, review your profile and membership information, complete the renewal steps, select your category, and submit payment.
