Glen Schmidt, Phd

Associate Professor
UNBC Social Work Program

I worked 12 years in northern Manitoba, first as a child welfare worker and later as regional coordinator of mental health services. I’ve been in full time academic Social Work and part-time private practice for the past 15 years. I have a longstanding involvement with the Canadian Mental Health Association. I have also been active in BCASW at local and provincial levels. I am especially interested in child welfare and mental health social work practice within remote, northern environments.
